Dan's LQ4
Dan came to us for a custom engine to fit his specific needs. We built an iron LQ4 ready to handle some boost. To reach his target horsepower goal, we built his bottom end with Gen 4 pistons and connecting rods and machined for ARP main studs. The piston rings were gapped appropriately to handle 30 pounds of boost. Dan chose AFR enforcer CNC ported cylinder heads to move all that air through the motor efficiently as well as the Holley hi-rise intake. The valvetrain included Johnson short travel link bar lifters, and custom Manton pushrods.
